Our "Anna" Desk Set by Karin Mobring was produced in Sweden for Ikea in 1963. Made of beech and plywood, it's the perfect size for a toddler just learning to write his letters. As the child grows, the chair flips to accommodate a taller height. Ikea was one of the first companies to produce design-conscious children's furniture for the family home, as early as the 1960s. Pieces like the "Anna" were once ubiquitous in homes throughout Scandinavia, but have become difficult to find for contemporary collectors.
