kinder MODERN is dedicated to unearthing child design pieces typically dating from the 1920’s-1980’s. The pieces we collect and curate were created by prominent and iconic designers of the twentieth century and are unique in their innovative use of materiality and design for the time. We carefully source each piece because it holds an important spot in the history of child design. If you are interested in learning more about the history of child design, we recommend visiting MoMA's Century of the Child website.
All of our historical vintage pieces are in quite good condition. However, normal wear and tear consistent with age and use is to be expected. We are happy to provide a detailed condition report for any of our items. Please email us at email@example.com for more information.

Yes! All our pieces are reviewed by expert refinishers and checked for hazardous materials and rough edges. That being said, historical pieces were not subject to the same safety regulations protecting us today. Our contemporary pieces have been produced with non-toxic finishes wherever possible and have been designed with safety in mind. However, we encourage all parents to exercise their own judgement before allowing children to play on or use our pieces. kinder MODERN is not responsible for any injury sustained while using any item purchased from our gallery.
