kinder MODERN Announces the Launch of the Lunar Table and Eclipse Chair

kinder MODERN continues to design and produce great looking furniture for kids of all ages. The new Lunar Table and Eclipse Chair is inspired by celestial bodies, and brings a fun form for play into any child’s universe. The arc of the Lunar Table provides an ideal surface for solo or group activities. In multiples, the table builds out into ovals — allowing for an innovative use of the center for toys, decorative objects or plants — or into a continuous 's' pattern with unlimited capacity, great for public space, museums and playrooms of any size. The Eclipse Chair nests into the table when not in use, is stackable for ease of storage, and doubles as a stylish side table for any room in the house.
“With these children’s furniture pieces, we’re looking to expand the idea of good looking, functional furniture for kids,” says Lora Appleton, kinder MODERN Founder and Principal Designer. “Our in-house design team focused on developing a minimalist interpretation of the astral concepts that captivated us all as children, while at the same time creating tables and chairs that are flexible, fun and mixed-use.”
The natural plywood material is a nod to historic school furniture and the simple oil finish is available in four classic color options that all work together. The complementary hues of Pure (natural), Moonlight (blue), Sunshine (yellow) and Astral White provide myriad possibilities whether the desired mood is subtle or striking.
Designed for ages 2-10, this set is a perfect addition to residential or commercial settings. With the introduction of the Lunar Table and Eclipse Chair, kinder MODERN has designed and produced a play set chic enough for parents and all the kids in their orbit.
