Studio Assistant / Assistant to CEO

kinder MODERN is seeking a highly motivated, organized assistant to support design studio, showroom and principal. This position reports directly to the Principle but supports all aspects of the studio. Tasks will include, but are not limited to: greeting clients, answering phones, preparing for gallery/design events, maintaining office inventory and admin responsibilities, and representing the kM brand through positive communication, professionalism and a fun attitude. This is an opportunity to have hands on learning in the design industry with a successful design gallery, studio and leader.

Candidates should be savvy, resourceful, and ideally have an interest in design/creativity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Mac Operating System is required and experience using creative suite is a must. A background in Art, Architecture, Design, or Arts Administration is preferred. This position will support the Principal in all facets of administration, design & sales, interfacing with clients, formalizing client inquires into quotes, marketing, sourcing, presentations, photoshoots, installations and more!

The position is full time Monday to Friday.  In addition, the candidate will need to assist with any special events that may arise.

(Full-Time PAID): 5 days a week (M-F), hours between 10am-6pm  /

Looking for someone to start immediately! 

-Assist in the management of fast-paced design studio & gallery in Flatiron NYC

-Answer calls and interface with clients through all forms of communication: phone, email, in person at events.

- Prepare correspondence on the principal's behalf, aka draft  emails, etc

-Assist with sales support and post-sale follow-up, including processing EAD requests, placing orders, resolving delivery issues, completing special orders and processing part requests.

-conduct website updates, edit newsletters / add images + text & update product imagery

- conduct internet research, maintain contact databases

- source and order office supplies & any necessary equipment, tools, supplies etc

-book meetings and oversee the principals schedule

-Support the design studio team throughout the creative process; this includes research, pulling samples, ordering, organizing and maintaining material and office samples, maintain Studio product inventory 

-Distribute press and marketing materials, aka manage the press requests - sending dropbox links, high res images etc

-Assist owner/director and artists installing exhibitions.

-Assist during opening receptions and other special events.
